An interesting pair of dolls made in Australia in the late 1960s - early 1970s.

NORFOLK ISLAND CONVICT
Tag (typewriting font)"My name is John. I was convicted in London England for stealing bread and transported to Sydney (Penal Colony) in 1791. Because of misconduct I was sent to Norfolk island where I worked in the Governor gardens, Hospitals, and for further punishment sent to the road gangs. I was flogged and ill treated and had little to eat."
NORFOLK ISLANDER
Tag (typewriting font) 'My name is Sarah or Tevarua (My Tahitian name). I came to Norfolk Island in 1856. I worked keeping house, tending the garden, and making Mudda (dumplings) and Pilki (green bananas wrapped in banana leaves). I spoke a mixture of Tahitian and English".
